My Personal Experience with Enlight Treatment – Part 1

When I first encountered Enlight treatment, I approached it with both professional curiosity and personal openness. At the time, I had recently started working at Zandier Counseling, where I was introduced to Enlight by Mr. Zandier https://sunday.enlightmethod.com/ https://interference.enlightmethod.com/  The treatment drew from concepts related to energy psychology, Thought Field Therapy, and acupressure tapping techniques. As a psychologist trained primarily in traditional therapeutic approaches, this was a completely new framework for me. What stood out immediately was the observation that, for some individuals, conventional talk therapy alone does not fully resolve emotional distress. Many clients intellectually understand coping strategies, yet still feel emotionally stuck. They may know logically that they are safe, capable, or resilient, but emotionally continue carrying anxiety, self-doubt, shame, or unresolved stress. This led me to reflect on an important question: Why do some emotional patterns persist even when we consciously understand them? The Enlight model attempts to address this by focusing not only on rational thought processes, but also on emotional conditioning, stored distress, and emotional reinforcement patterns.

Why I Decided to Try Enlight Myself

Initially, I decided to experience Enlight treatment for two reasons. First, I wanted to better understand the process professionally before recommending or applying it with others. Second, I was personally interested in whether it could help me become more present, focused, and emotionally clear. I approached the process experimentally and without rigid expectations. Since the procedure itself was non-invasive and low-risk, I felt open to exploring it firsthand.

My Understanding of the Enlight Theory

One of the central parts of the process was something called the “attunement” phase. For me, this was incredibly important. The attunement process helped explain the conceptual framework behind the treatment. As someone who values logic and understanding, I found that my rational mind needed to understand the purpose and intention behind the exercises before I could fully engage emotionally. The Enlight framework compares the mind to a computer system. In this model, emotional experiences, traumas, and learned patterns can become stored similarly to “files” or programming within the emotional system. This is what Mr. Zandier calls our “Emotional software program”. The goal is not to erase memories, but to reduce the emotional burden attached to them so an individual can function with greater clarity, flexibility, and emotional freedom. The model focuses on several emotional themes, including:
  • externally derived emotional trauma,
  • emotional malnourishment,
  • internally inflicted emotional distress,
  • self-critical conditioning,
  • and unhealthy ways of coping.
Whether one interprets these concepts metaphorically, psychologically, or energetically, the intention is ultimately the same: helping individuals release emotional burdens that may interfere with present-moment functioning and wellbeing.

What the Experience Was Like

The process involved following guided attunement material, engaging in affirmations, and performing tapping techniques. The full session took approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. What surprised me most was that the process did not feel overwhelming or emotionally intrusive. Instead, I noticed moments of emotional activation during certain affirmation sections — particularly those involving forgiveness, self-worth, and emotional release. After the session, I felt deeply relaxed and somewhat sleepy. Over the following days and weeks, however, I began noticing more meaningful changes. In the next blogpost, I speak about the changes I saw within myself and my practice and how I think Enlight may benefit you.
